Station Eleven
I have the hardest time finding books that capture my full attention instantly. I got to thinking - what if this is one of the positive ways in which I can use AI - to help me find books based on my literary taste? All of the AI models recommended Station Eleven to me. Within a few minutes of reading, I could see why. This is not a tough read at all. It's so strange that it was written before the COVID-19 pandemic, and yet really guessed the human behavior during a pandemic spot on. Now, as I read stories about the hantavirus, I can't help but notice the similarities.
If you're anything like us, you hear about a good book and buy it right away. You might start reading, and then you either get busy or bored. A good book will make sure you never want to put it down.
Project Hail Mary
Not my typical genre of book, I really love when a story makes you think. What would you be willing to do if you knew the earth was on the brink of catastrophe? I thought the sci-fi wouldn't be able to hook me, but it did - I had to know what happened next and loved to read about the unlikely friendship between a human high school science teacher and an alien life form.
